The Shimano Deore XT SM-RT86 is a disc rotor that maintains braking performance even on long descents, thanks to its Ice-Tech cooling technology. The stainless steel – aluminum – stainless steel three-layer sandwich structure rapidly dissipates heat through its aluminum core. The surface temperature is approximately 100 °C lower than traditional rotors.

With a 203 mm diameter, it offers maximum braking power and heat capacity; ideal for enduro, downhill, e-MTB, and heavily loaded tours.

🚀 Ice-Tech Technology

Ice-Tech rotors feature a three-layer structure with an aluminum core. Aluminum transfers and disperses heat much faster than stainless steel. This results in:

• Rotor surface temperature drops by ~100 °C
• Braking power remains consistent on long descents
• Pad wear is reduced
• When used with Ice-Tech brake pads (with cooling fins), pad temperature drops by an additional 50 °C

⚠️ Important Notes

• A 6-bolt hub is required. Not directly compatible with Centerlock hubs.
• The 203 mm rotor should not exceed the maximum rotor diameter allowed by your bike's fork and frame. Most enduro/DH forks support 203 mm, but please check.
• For 180 mm / 203 mm rotors, a special adapter (post mount or flat mount) is usually required. The adapter is not included in the set and must be purchased separately.
• Bolts and shims are included in the box. Shims are placed under the bolt head to prevent bolts from loosening due to vibration.
