Balls and Bearings
Balls and bearings are selected by size when servicing rotating assemblies such as hubs and headsets. At Uğur Bisiklet, compare loose balls, caged bearings and bearing sets for specific wheels. Before replacement, identify the bearing location and existing dimensions.

The right replacement for rotating components
Similar-looking balls and bearings can differ in size. First identify the hub, headset or wheelset model being serviced. For loose balls, check diameter; for caged bearings, ball arrangement and cage dimensions; for cartridge bearings, inner diameter, outer diameter and width. Model-specific sets such as Cole Rollen Elite are not general-purpose bearings. Recording where old parts were fitted prevents mixing balls from different races and helps prepare the replacement list.
- Record the removed part's code and dimensions.
- Check front and rear hub requirements separately.
- Read the quantity and distinguish individual parts from sets.
Is replacing only the balls enough?
New balls may not solve the problem if the races are worn. Inspect the cones and bearing surfaces during servicing.
Why does the bearing code matter?
The code helps identify the correct part. A similar appearance does not mean identical dimensions or seals. Follow the manufacturer's part information before installation.
