Shock Pumps
A shock pump sets air suspension pressure according to the manufacturer's adjustment method. PRO, Raptor and Giyo may offer analogue or digital gauges. Check your suspension's air valve, pump range and pressure controls together.

The right tool for air suspension adjustment
Shock pumps are chosen for a different purpose from tyre inflation. Assess suitability against your fork or rear shock's pressure instructions. A digital gauge alone does not ensure correct setup; initial settings must follow manufacturer criteria such as rider and equipment weight.
- Confirm the suspension is air-sprung and check its valve fitting.
- Compare pump range with suspension pressure limits.
- Examine gauge readability and pressure release control.
- Assess hose access, connection method and carrying size.
Does a coil fork need a shock pump?
A spring system not adjusted by air pressure does not use it in the same way. Check the exact fork model and adjustment method in the manual.
Can I use another rider's pressure setting?
Do not copy it directly. Suspension model, rider weight and conditions vary. Start with the manufacturer's recommendation and follow its setup procedure.
