Luggage Straps
A luggage strap helps secure belongings on a suitable carrying platform. For different lengths and fittings, check cargo shape, rack attachment area and instructions. A retention strap does not increase rack capacity.

Secure cargo neatly on the rack
Length, hook shape and elasticity matter. For OXC Xtend and general straps, use packaged dimensions. Excess strap must not reach wheels, chain or brakes. Other accessories such as adapters may also appear, so identify each product's actual role.
- Assess attachment distance over the load on the rack.
- Check hooks or end fittings seat at suitable points.
- Do not overstretch beyond manufacturer limits.
- Inspect wear, cracking and fitting damage before every use.
Does a strap allow heavier cargo?
It does not change rack limits. Assess supporting rack capacity and strap retention separately.
Where should excess strap go?
Follow the specified attachment arrangement. Check that loose sections cannot reach wheels or drivetrain or come undone during riding.
