Find the hanger for the frame model
Before removal, photograph the attachment and record the bicycle model. Compare both faces, screw positions, thickness and axle interface with product images. Different ranges or model years within one brand may use different hangers. A bent hanger can affect shifting; check alignment and adjustment after replacement. Comparing the front alone may be insufficient: inspect the frame-facing rear and screw arrangement equally carefully.
- Look for a part code or frame manufacturer's compatibility information.
- Check whether screws and fittings are included.
- Carefully compare the axle seat shape.
Does every hanger from the same brand fit?
