Alarmed Locks
This collection helps assess alarmed locks by intended use and fitting dimensions. For Arven and Onguard, check pin size, locking point and purpose. Verify alarm operation in the description and disc lock physical fit on your rotor separately.

Check alarm function and mechanical fit separately
Physical fit comes before the audible alarm. Pin diameter and throat opening must suit the rotor. A motorcycle product may not fit a bicycle rotor directly. Read alarm operation, unlocking and battery replacement methods; an alarm does not replace mechanical securing.
- Verify that specifications actually include an alarm.
- Compare pin and body opening with rotor dimensions.
- Examine battery type, access and any reminder cable.
- Establish a check that the lock is fully removed before riding.
Does an alarmed disc lock anchor a bicycle to a fixed point?
It may not do so alone. Read how it works and assess a separate suitable frame-to-anchor lock.
How should the alarm battery be maintained?
Battery type, replacement and checking frequency vary. Follow the manual and verify alarm operation before use.
