Rear Mudguards
A rear mudguard adds protection behind the rider against water and mud from the rear tyre. When considering Polisport city and MTB models, account for attachment type, tyre size and saddle height. Verify that the product is designed for rear mounting.

Assess the space around the rear wheel
Frame-mounted and seatpost-mounted mudguards need different positioning. Plan any rack, rear light or saddle bag together with the mudguard because they share space. Examine its position over the rear wheel and its attachments. Check the manufacturer's required clearance to prevent wheel contact.
- Compare tyre width with mudguard coverage width.
- For seatpost models, check clamp range and usable height.
- Consider rack and rear light positions together with the mudguard.
- Account for clearance throughout full-suspension movement.
Can a mudguard below the saddle be used with a rack?
Not every combination fits. Compare occupied space, mounting points and tyre distance on your own bicycle.
Does a reflector model replace a rear light?
A reflector returns incoming light; it does not provide active illumination. Assess your rear light separately for riding conditions and applicable rules.
