Brake Levers
A brake lever must match the brake system. The collection includes standalone hydraulic levers, brake sets and integrated shift/brake levers. Check right/left orientation, exact lever model and caliper or cable system together.

Match the lever to its system
Handlebar fit does not guarantee system function. Hydraulic levers need caliper and hose compatibility; mechanical levers need matching brake type and cable pull. Integrated levers also need drivetrain compatibility. Shimano Deore and ST-EF500 examples serve different systems.
- Verify left/right orientation by product code.
- Distinguish a single lever from a hose/caliper set.
- Match hydraulic fittings and caliper compatibility to manufacturer information.
- Check derailleur family separately on shifting models.
Does the right lever always control the rear brake?
Layouts vary. Check orientation and existing connections; safely verify your familiar control arrangement after installation.
Does matching gear count guarantee integrated lever compatibility?
No. Derailleur family and control standard matter. Verify brake and shift compatibility separately with manufacturer information.
