Texture, thickness and material affect hand contact. Consider cleaning and care alongside colour. Leather and microfibre or blended tapes may need different treatment. Bar width and wrap pattern affect required length, so check contents and instructions.

- Read adhesive backing and wrapping method.
- Check included bar plugs, finishing tape and extras.
- Plan coverage around brake levers together with cable routing.
Is thick tape suitable for every rider?
