SPD SL : For optimum power and durability The low-profile pedal technology, born from the demand for Professional Touring, has been extended to a wide range of race riders of all levels, including sports, club and recreational riders. The SPD-SL is a road pedal platform systematically designed with SHIMANO shoes to transfer more power from your body to your bike. For professional riders, the extra-wide, low-profile lock distributes energy more evenly over a larger surface and transfers it to the bike more efficiently, even under the toughest pedal loads. There is no loss of movement. No losses due to stretching, gaps or mismatched shoe/pedal designs. This is a huge advantage that helps to win in races. The energy efficiency that draws professional drivers to the podium also strengthens the experience of other driver categories. Increased durability for longer rides. More comfort and fun! System Designed. Driver Focused.SPD-SL is a road-specific development of the system. This pedal platform has been specially designed for the needs of road racers around the world.
